Salsa pulled off a 7-6 victory after erasing a 4-1 deficit, rallying in the third period with four goals to stun Dawg Pac. Donald Kleckner led the charge with four goals and two assists, while Chris Cummo and Tim Scruggs also found the net. Brandon Thurmond made 23 saves on 29 shots (.793 SV%), keeping his team in the fight. Dawg Pac had multi-point efforts from Shayne Mitchell (2G, 1A), Chris Haynes (1G, 2A), and Greg Spivia (1G, 1A), but couldn’t hold off Salsa’s late push.

Game 2: The Ex Presidents 3, Midnight Riders 1
The Ex Presidents stayed hot with a 3-1 win over the Midnight Riders, keeping pressure on Salsa for the second seed. Sean Fleming led the way with two goals and an assist, while Michael McChesney added two assists and sealed the game with an empty-net goal. Eric Phelps was outstanding in net, making 27 saves on 28 shots (.964 SV%), shutting down the Midnight Riders’ offense. Midnight Riders’ only goal came from Drew Warner, while Bob Kent made 17 saves on 19 shots (.895 SV%) in a strong performance.
