In Game 1, Team Black continued their remarkable turnaround with a dominant 6-1 victory over Team White. After starting the season 0-7, Team Black has now won three straight games, the longest win streak in the league. Led by Captain Perry Holcombe, who had a goal and an assist, Greg Spivia recorded a hat trick, and Brian Saling added three assists. Goalie Bob Kent was stellar, stopping 11 of 12 shots for a .917 save percentage. Team White’s lone goal came from CJ Layer, with goalie Brandon Thurmond making 33 saves on 39 shots for an .846 save percentage.
